The increasing frequency and intensity of extreme weather disasters pose significant challenges to the delivery of Early Head Start (EHS) and Head Start (HS) services, impacting children's access to early childhood education. This study investigates how extreme weather events disrupt EHS/HS programs and their implications for enrollment and service delivery.

Revisiting the y-ome of Escherichia coli https://www.sri.com/publication/revisiting-the-y-ome-of-escherichia-coli/ Mon, 07 Oct 2024 18:47:20 +0000 https://www.sri.com/?p=93734 SRI - A global leader in R&D with deep roots in Silicon Valley.

EcoCyc.org, the most comprehensive curated genome database for the model microorganism E. coli K-12, has implemented a new categorization schema that indicates the degree to which a gene has been characterized: well-characterized (54%), partially (26%) and uncharacterized (16%). This searchable category adds to the wealth of information and bioinformatics tools in EcoCyc aiding research decisions to further the study of gene function in E. coli.

Visual Analysis of Multi-Omics Data https://www.sri.com/publication/visual-analysis-of-multi-omics-data/ Mon, 16 Sep 2024 19:33:06 +0000 https://www.sri.com/?p=93116 SRI - A global leader in R&D with deep roots in Silicon Valley.

Abstract We present a tool for multi-omics data analysis that enables simultaneous visualization of up to four types of omics data on organism-scale metabolic network diagrams. The tool’s interactive web-based metabolic charts depict the metabolic reactions, pathways, and metabolites of a single organism as described in a metabolic pathway database for that organism; the charts […]
